This episodic show, based on the TV series ‘The X Factor’ was produced by NTV, the International Film School Wales’ own online television. I worked voluntarily amongst others, including Shiny Studios and TapeHead Films, on camera and with preparations to produce the university’s very first online broadcast. All money raised went to charity.
Episode Three: The Quarter Final 20th Nov 2009
I was on roaming camera at the front of the stage to capture acts close up and the judges reactions, which was projected onto a screen for the live audience and recorded for later editing. Both photos on this page are from episode three.
Episode Five: The Final 4th Dec 2009
I was on static camera for wide shots and mid-shots of the acts which was both recorded and projected onto two screens for the live audience. The production was also broadcast live online to an additional audience of over 400. Live updates on the British Eye Films Twitter and Facebook fanpage helped to push NTV to the top 5 most watched live university broadcasts in the UK. A massive thanks goes out to all of you who watched the final live.
