In addition to short film-making, I have filmed a wide variety of events. From weddings to music concerts, I love getting involved on camera and have often been praised on my skilled cinematography, use of focus and framing. Recent events are at the top of the page.
Experience
WEDDINGS
Emma and Luke
February 2010:
I had the fortune of working with Richard Shelton from Aurora Video on the wedding of Emma and Luke in Gloucestershire, England. I was on roaming and static camera, using the Sony PD-170. An introductory edit can be found on the Aurora Video Blog HERE.

Rebecca and David
Summer 2007:
I was filming the wedding of Rebecca and David in Leicestershire, England on roaming and static camera. Rockingham Castle was a beautiful venue, and I was able to capture surroundings as well as the arrivals, ceremony, speeches and after-party. I edited the entire film and distributed it out to friends and family of the bride and groom.
MUSIC
The Port Factor, Final
December 2009:
I was on static camera, capturing wide and medium shots of the action amongst a packed audience. Footage was projected live onto a screen and online to Newport TV’s (NTV) website. With live updates on the BritishEyeFilms facebook and twitter pages, the online feed brought an additional audience of over 400, pushing NTV into the top 5 most watched university broadcasts in the UK.
The Port Factor, Quarter Final
November 2009:
I was on roaming camera, capturing medium and close up shots of both the act and the judge’s.

Sizzling Science
February 2009:
As part of the University of Cambridge’s 800th anniversary events, the Molecular Research Centre (MRC) of Cambridge held a public talk explaining the benefits and how to make tasty, healthy food. I was on static and roaming camera working with Neil Grant of the MRC’s in-house video department. I later edited the production at the MRC Cambridge in HD using Final Cut Pro.
Horrible Science
December 2008:
As part of the University of Cambridge’s 800th anniversary introductory events, the events department asked me to film a public talk by bestselling author Nick Arnold. I worked on static and roaming camera in HD.
NEWPORT CITY RADIO
November 2009:
I directed and edited a news video and audio blog for Newport City Radio, broadcast in sound, and made available in video on their website.
Directing Duncan Birnie and Matt Hains from TapeHeadFilms, I interviewed cast members at the premiere of ‘A Bit of Tom Jones?’, including John Henshaw. With thanks to the film’s director, Peter-Watkins Hughes, I then edited the interviews in with footage from the trailer and recorded a news voiceover.
